Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tiruneh has visited the Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation (EBC) headquarters at Shegole and praised the significant transformations underway.
He noted EBC's modernization efforts, including the construction of new studios and improved working conditions, but particularly lauded the ongoing changes in content.
He attributed much of this progress to the support of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, highlighting the increased reach and viewership resulting from the improved content availability across multiple platforms.
Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen emphasized that EBC should compete not only with domestic media but also with international outlets, and that its coverage of the national dialogue should showcase Ethiopia's positive aspects. He assured EBC of continued government support as it moves forward with these crucial changes.
