The entry of new cement factories into operation in Ethiopia is creating favorable conditions for developers in the construction sector, stated President Taye Atske Selassie.
President Taye officially inaugurated the expansion project of Pioneer Cement Manufacturing Private Limited Company in Dire Dawa city. During the ceremony, he highlighted the extensive benefits of the Pioneer Cement factory, a partnership between Ethiopian and Chinese investors, for the growth of Ethiopia's construction industry.
The President emphasized that collaborations between Ethiopian and international investors demonstrate the potential for knowledge transfer, capital flow, and increased productivity. He recalled how, in the past, the construction sector often faced complex challenges in acquiring necessary materials.
According to ENA, President Taye reiterated that the commencement of operations by new cement factories across Ethiopia is now creating a convenient environment for developers engaged in the construction sector. He further explained that expanding investment in the construction sector is not only viable but also accelerates the nation's ongoing development journey.
Finally, President Taye commended the Pioneer Cement factory for fulfilling its social responsibility through job creation, knowledge development, and transfer.
