Ethiopia's Minister of Labor and Skills, Muferihat Kamil, has highlighted the crucial role of the booming construction sector in generating jobs across the country. Speaking at an international labor conference in Addis Ababa, she emphasized that the government's focus on infrastructure development, like roads and large projects, is creating significant employment opportunities.
Minister Muferihat noted that alongside industrial parks and support for small businesses, the construction industry is a key driver in the government's job creation efforts. She pointed to the numerous development projects in Addis Ababa as clear examples of this impact.
Addressing global delegates, Minister Muferihat affirmed the government's strong commitment to tackling unemployment through various sector-specific programs. According to ENA, she also invited conference participants to witness firsthand the growth and job-creating potential of Ethiopia's construction sector during their stay in the capital.
