A cultural exhibition and festival featuring the traditions of five neighboring regions has opened in Harar city to mark the Shuwalid festival.
The cultural exhibition and festival, themed "Our Heritage Resources for Tourism Development," was jointly inaugurated by the President of the Harari Regional State, Ordin Bedri, along with high-ranking regional and federal government officials.
The cultural exhibition and festival showcase traditional dances and performances, traditional Alella sewing, and a variety of traditional materials and clothing.
The Shuwalid festival is a vibrant public celebration highly regarded by the Harari people, attracting numerous domestic and international tourists.
The festival is being celebrated today with various programs running from morning until evening.
