The Ethiopian Religious Council is holding a national peace conference in Dire Dawa themed "The Role of Religions in Peace, Unity, Coexistence, and Nation Building".
The conference is attended by high-ranking officials including the Supreme Council of Religious Institutions, Minister of Peace Mohammed Idris, Dire Dawa Administration Council Speaker Fethiya Aden, and Dire Dawa Mayor Kedir Juhar, as well as religious leaders, elders, and community leaders.
ENA reported that the conference aims to strengthen the role of religious leaders and followers in ensuring lasting peace in the country. The conference is a collaborative effort between the Ethiopian Religious Council and the Dire Dawa Administration.
