A national conference of religious institutions focusing on their role in achieving sustainable peace is underway.
Specifically, a panel discussion under the theme "The Role of Religions in Peace, Unity, Coexistence, and Nation-Building" is being held in Dire Dawa. The discussion aims to strengthen the work religious institutions are doing to promote lasting peace.
Participants include executive members of the Ethiopian Religious Institutions Council, religious leaders, elders, and Abba Gedas. The Dire Dawa administration's mayor, Keder Juhar, and cabinet members are also participating, according to ENA.
The discussion is jointly organized by the Ethiopian Religious Institutions Council and the Dire Dawa Administration's Religious Institutions Council.
