A public peaceful march has been held in Gondar city.
Participants in the peaceful march called on all citizens to do their part to restore peace in the region. They emphasized that peace is the foundation of everything and must be collectively protected, expressing support for the government's repeated calls for peace, among other slogans.
Gondar's First Deputy Mayor, Chalachew Dagnew, addressed the crowd, praising the people's commitment to peace. He also reassured the public of the government's dedication to peace.
In a message to those engaged in armed conflict, the Deputy Mayor urged them to "come and let's talk; we haven't benefited from killing."
Similar peaceful marches have been underway in different cities including Dessie, Kombolcha and Bahirdar.
