Ethiopia is emerging as an attractive hub for investors interested in the textile sector.

Zeleke Temesgen, the commissioner of the Ethiopian Investment Commission, highlighted the country's potential during the recent global linen textile forum held in Addis Ababa, which saw participation from fifteen different nations.

He emphasized that Ethiopia boasts a significant workforce, which plays a vital role in the expansion of the industrial sector.

The country is also blessed with five million hectares of arable land suitable for cultivating textile-related crops, including cotton.

According to ENA, to further enhance its appeal to foreign investors, the government has established special economic zones aimed at facilitating international trade.

Additionally, infrastructure developments like the Addis Ababa Djibouti Railway and Ethiopian Airlines are set to improve access to global markets, making it easier for investors to engage with Ethiopia's growing economy.

Zeleke encouraged potential investors to consider the opportunities available in Ethiopia, noting the steady increase in foreign direct investment.
