The Chinese Ambassador to Ethiopia, Chen Hai, accompanied by a delegation of embassy attachés,have ventured into the heart of Ethiopian media on Thursday. Their destination? The Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation (EBC): The nation's sole state-owned media outlet. This visit highlighted the Ethiopian government's pivotal role in shaping the media landscape, both domestically and across Africa.
The tour begun with a warm welcome from EBC’s CEO, Getnet Tadesse, who guided Ambassador Chen through the spacious media complex. As they toured the facility, they explored a variety of state-of-the-art radio and television studios, visited production areas replete with cutting-edge technology, and observed the dynamic environment in which EBC staff create content.
