Ambassador Nebil Mahdi, the Ethiopian Special Envoy and Plenipotentiary to South Sudan, has stated that Ethiopia is not only contributing to peace in South Sudan but is also providing significant support in various development sectors.
Speaking at the medal ceremony of the 18th Motorized Battalion, Ambassador Mahdi emphasized that the Ethiopian peacekeepers have made a significant contribution to bringing peace to the people of South Sudan.
He highlighted the strong ties between the two countries and stated that the effectiveness of the Ethiopian peacekeepers has been attested to by the United Nations Mission in South Sudan.
The Ambassador further noted that Ethiopia's contribution to the peacekeeping mission in South Sudan is a testament to its global support, which is rooted in its people.
According to information from the Ethiopian Federal Defense Force's social media page, the 18th Motorized Battalion presented a gift to Ambassador Nebil in recognition of his support for the success of the peacekeeping mission in South Sudan.
