In a significant development for Ethiopia's cultural and sports sectors, Assistant Professor Nebiyou Baye has been appointed as the State Minister of Culture and Sports, effective March 10, 2017, E.C. He previously served as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ethiopian Broadcasting Corporation (EBC), where he played a pivotal role in shaping media policies and enhancing public broadcasting.
His tenure at EBC equipped him with valuable insights into the importance of communication in fostering national identity and promoting cultural initiatives.
In addition to his broadcasting experience, Nebiyou is a member of the Board of Directors of the Ethiopian News Agency, further solidifying his expertise in media and information dissemination.
