The Commercial Bank of Ethiopia has launched an international plastic and virtual prepaid Mastercard.
The Commercial Bank of Ethiopia has introduced the Mastercard prepaid system in collaboration with the global payment institution, Mastercard.
The launching ceremony was attended by the President of the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, Abe Sano, the President of Mastercard Africa, Mark Elliott, as well as other senior executives from both the Commercial Bank and Mastercard.
During the event, the President of the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, Abe Sano, stated that the bank is updating its services by developing digital technology.
He announced that the prepaid Mastercard will further modernize the bank's digital services.
On his part, the president of Mastercard Africa, Mark Elliott, mentioned that the digital service launched by the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia will further facilitate its international services.
He also stated that Mastercard will continue to work jointly with the bank on developing digital technology in the future."
