Over 1,300 Sports Facilities Built in Addis Ababa since National Reform

The Addis Ababa City Administration Youth and Sports Bureau has held a physical fitness event at the African Union Convention Center, with the participation of over 100,000 community members, to mark the 7th anniversary of the national reform.

The Deputy Mayor of Addis Ababa City Administration, Jantirar Abay, attended the mass physical fitness event held under the slogan “Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow for Ethiopia's Supremacy" and delivered a message.

During his address, he stated that significant achievements have been made in the country's economic, social, and political affairs over the past 7 years of reform.

Moges Balcha, Head of the Addis Ababa City Democracy System Building Coordination Office, said that just as our forefathers defended our country from foreign enemies and preserved its sovereignty, the new generation also has a responsibility to free the country from dependency and ensure its economic sovereignty to pass it on to the next generation.

Belay Dejen, Head of the Addis Ababa City Administration Youth and Sports Bureau, on his part, stated that due to the special attention given by the government to sports, more than 1,300 sports facilities have been built since the national reform, according to information from the Addis Ababa Youth and Sports Bureau.
