Minister of Trade and Regional Integration, Kassahun Gofe, held talks with Algerian State Minister for Energy, Mines, and Renewable Energies, Mohamed Arkab.
In a social media post, Kassahun Gofe said that he had extensive discussions with the delegation led by the Algerian minister on trade and energy management cooperation between the two countries.
He noted that Ethiopia and Algeria have historical relations and explained that Ethiopia is working hard to expand its trade relations with African countries.
He also said that "we had constructive discussions with Algeria on ways to strengthen our trade ties."
Kassahun indicated that Algeria has extensive experience in energy development and management. "We have agreed to conduct technical and training exchanges that will assist our work in this regard," kassahun added.
The delegation also expressed their appreciation for the reforms implemented by Ethiopia and the tangible results attained.
The Algerian minister and his high-level delegation arrived in Addis early Monday morning on a two-day working visit.
