Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) and First Lady Zinash Tayachew have visited key development projects in the Afar region, showcasing the region's agricultural and industrial capabilities.
Their visit included an inspection of an iodized salt production plant that started production six months ago and has a capacity of 15 tons per hour.
In addition, they visited the successful summer wheat production development work underway in the Afar region and the Ayrolaf Feed Bank Development Center.
It was stated that remarkable irrigated wheat production has been achieved, overcoming previous misconceptions about the agricultural potential of the region.
