The construction of the Bahir Dar International Stadium is in a remarkable final stage of construction, said Deputy Prime Minister Temesgen Tiruneh.
"The stadium has changed significantly from its appearance when we arrived last July, and we have seen the stadium's appearance improve, the stands are being installed, the grass is being planted and other internal works are being carried out." He said.
He also pointed out that the construction of the stadium has reached the final stage of construction, meeting all the international standards of CAF and FIFA.
"The huge Bahir Dar Stadium will create an opportunity for our country to host continental and international competitions. In addition, it will contribute significantly to the beauty, income source and revitalization of the sports sector in Bahir Dar city."
"We saw during our visit that it will be fully completed and ready to host games by the end of this year," the Deputy Prime Minister said on his social media page.
