Ethiopian Investment Promotion Forum has been held in Brasilia, the capital of Brazil.
The country's State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mesganu Arga, highlighted Ethiopia’s priority areas in agro-processing, manufacturing, mining, tourism and ICT.
The state minister emphasized the favorable investment environment as a result of the comprehensive economic reforms undertaken in Ethiopia, lucrative opportunities that the country offers and called on Brazilian companies to invest in Ethiopia.
Ambassador Mesganu also detailed Ethiopia’s extensive market access due to its geographical location, attractive incentive packages, favorable policies, industrial parks and improved infrastructures.
He further explained being a member of BRICS and having a direct daily flight between Addis Ababa and São Paulo provides an ideal opportunity for Brazilian investors to invest in Ethiopia.
The investment promotion forum was attended by representatives of Brazilian companies engaged in agro-processing, manufacturing, mining and tourism, as well as Trade Councils and Industry Federations.
Participants from the Brazilian side reaffirmed their desire to engage in investment in Ethiopia and strengthen trade and tourism exchanges between the two countries.
