The United Russia party has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening relations between Russia and Ethiopia. Senator Andrey Klimov, a member of the party's Supreme Council office, emphasized the party's dedication to fostering a stronger partnership during a press conference held after the Prosperity Party's second regular meeting.
Klimov stated that United Russia will collaborate with the Prosperity Party to enhance cooperation between the two nations. He described the discussions held during the Prosperity Party's meeting as "successful" and focused on strengthening both party-to-party ties and broader bilateral relations.
"Ethiopia and Russia share a strong bilateral and multilateral partnership," Klimov noted. He highlighted productive discussions with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and other senior Prosperity Party leaders, emphasizing the potential for these talks to deepen cooperation and strengthen the relationship between the two countries.
Klimov also expressed his admiration for the progress he witnessed in Ethiopia during his visit. "The changes in Addis Ababa are remarkable," he commented, recalling a previous visit four years ago.
The Prosperity Party's second regular meeting, themed "From Words to Culture," took place from January 23-25, 2017. Representatives from 15 sister parties, including United Russia, participated in the conference.
