Ethiopian House of Representatives Approves New Health Regulation

The House of People's Representatives has approved a Health Service Administration and Regulation Proclamation.

In its 13th regular session, the House reviewed a report and resolution from the Standing Committee on Health, Social Development, Culture, and Sports Affairs regarding the draft proclamation on health service administration and regulation. The report and resolution, presented by the Deputy Chairperson of the Standing Committee, Dr. Tadele Buraqa, highlighted the proclamation's necessity and its provisions.

According to ENA, the house members noted the proclamation was carefully and thoroughly drafted, considering fairness, accessibility, and quality of health services, as well as public interest, culture, and religion.

The House, incorporating the comments received, approved the proclamation with a majority vote of nine in favor and one opposed.
