Increased Volcanic Activity in Afar Region

Volcanic eruptions have increased in the Afar region, fueled by ongoing seismic activity in the Dulasha district.

Numerous significant volcanic eruptions are occurring in the Dofen mountain area of the Saganto Kebele in Dulasha district.

The volcanic eruptions caused by the earthquake are occurring simultaneously, emitting smoke and oily black water. The water from these eruptions has now formed small lakes.

The Dofen mountain in the area is becoming increasingly active due to the earthquake. The pastoralist community in Saganto Kebele is being relocated to other areas to protect themselves from the danger.

The ground fissure between Fentale and Dofen mountains is widening, and the crack between the two mountains is getting closer.

The volcanic eruption that occurred in the morning in the Dulasha district has subsided, but the area's appearance has completely changed, and the ground is showing significant tremors and sounds, suggesting a potential for further eruption.
