Ethiopia is unwavering in its commitment to fostering regional prosperity, as pledged by President Taye Atskesillassie. In a recent address to the joint session of the House of Peoples Representatives and the House of Federation, the newly appointed president emphasized Ethiopia's dedication to ensuring peace and security in the region, thereby facilitating mutual prosperity.
Taye articulated Ethiopia's resolve to uphold enduring regional stability, highlighting the nation's priority in safeguarding the well-being of its neighbors and promoting economic integration. He revealed that Ethiopia has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Somaliland, aimed at mutual benefit.
Furthermore, he underscored Ethiopia's proactive diplomatic efforts to address the ongoing conflict in Sudan. The president also expressed appreciation for the robust bilateral relations with China, characterizing it as an all-weather strategic partnership. He noted significant advancements in diplomatic engagements, while also mentioning Ethiopia's endeavors to strengthen ties with Gulf nations across political, economic, and military spheres.
