Algerian Minister of State for Energy, Mines, Renewable Energy on Working visit in Addis

Algerian Minister of State for Energy, Mines and Renewable Energy, Mohamed Arkab, arrived Monday morning in Addis Ababa on a two-day working visit.

Minister Arkab was received by State Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Birtukan Ayano upon his arrival at Bole International Airport.

During his stay in Ethiopia, the Minister is expected to hold discussions with various officials to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the energy, mining and renewable energy sectors, according to the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

A statement issued by Algerian Ministry of Energy and Mines, indicated that Minister Arkab is expected to be accompanied by a high-level delegation, including the CEO of Sonatrach, Rachid Hachichi, the CEO of Sonelgaz, Mourad Adjal, as well as senior officials from the ministry and other national institutions.

The high-level delegation also has a schedule to hold talks with leaders of various Ethiopian companies to explore new opportunities for economic and investment partnerships between the two nations.

With this visit visit, DZ Watch reported, reflects "Algeria’s broader strategy to deepen cooperation with African countries, in line with President Tebboune’s vision to foster sustainable development, promote regional integration, and create mutually beneficial strategic partnerships across the continent."
