In a recent meeting between Ethiopian Ambassador to South Sudan Nabil Mahdi and South Sudan’s Minister of Trade and Industry Atong Kuol Manyang Juk, both officials emphasized the importance of advancing existing trade agreements and fostering a collaborative business environment.

Ambassador Mahdi highlighted the strong diplomatic relations that underpin this partnership, noting that preparations are underway for the second round of the Ethiopia-South Sudan Business and Investment Forum set to take place in Juba.

This forum aims to create new opportunities for investors and enhance bilateral trade.

Minister Juk expressed South Sudan's commitment to providing necessary support and oversight to ensure effective trade relations.

They acknowledged the increasing demand for Ethiopian products among South Sudanese citizens, particularly in border areas, where quality and timely delivery are essential.

Both nations are also committed to advancing infrastructure development initiatives that facilitate legal trade, ensuring that economic benefits reach both countries.
