Ethiopia and the African Development Bank (AfDB) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in relation to the Expression of Interest for a new international airport to be built in the Abusera area near Bishoftu.
The President of the African Development Bank, Akinwumi Adesina, welcomed the Ethiopian delegation.
The delegation included the Minister of Finance, Ahmed Shide, and the CEO of Ethiopian Airlines Group, Mesfin Tasew, as reported by ENA.
This massive project will be constructed near the city of Bishoftu and is anticipated to significantly enhance the capacity of Ethiopian Airlines.
