Ethiopia's burgeoning economy has caught the attention of Chinese investors, with a delegation from Jiangsu Province expressing keen interest in establishing a foothold in the country.
Led by Director General Si Yong of the Jiangsu Provincial Bureau of Commerce, the delegation met with Zeleke Temesgen (PhD) Commissioner of the Ethiopian Investment Commission, to explore potential opportunities.
Commissioner Zeleke urged the Chinese investors to capitalize on the favorable investment climate fostered by Ethiopia's ongoing economic reforms.
Zeleke highlighted the potential for mutually beneficial partnerships.
General Si Yong affirmed the robust trade and investment ties between Ethiopia and China.
He stated that investors from Jiangsu Province are particularly eager to invest in Ethiopia's manufacturing sector, signaling their readiness to formalize their commitment through a signed agreement. This potential influx of investment promises to boost Ethiopia's manufacturing capabilities and strengthen its economic growth.
