"There is no sunset on our quest for peace, dialogue, and negotiation: Adam Farah, Deputy Chairman of the Prosperity Party"
Today, in various cities of the Amhara region, the people have taken to the streets to demand peace in the region, the rule of law, and the prosecution of extremist forces committing atrocities against innocent civilians. They have also expressed their support for the government's repeated calls for peace.
Following this, Adam Farah, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Democracy Building Coordination Center and Deputy President of the Prosperity Party, expressed his "deep gratitude" to the people.
He further assured that the government, led by the Prosperity Party, will continue its relentless efforts, with the participation of the public, to ensure a full return to peaceful activities in the region.
Adam stated in his social media post, "We would like to reiterate that the government is fully committed to peace, dialogue, and negotiation."
Therefore, we call on the armed groups operating in the Amhara region to understand that there is no military solution and to respond to the demands raised repeatedly by the people, including today's demonstration. We urge them to return to peaceful activities as soon as possible, as is being witnessed in various parts of our country.
