Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has highlighted the impressive 6.4% growth in foreign direct investment over the past three months, a testament to the confidence investors have placed in Ethiopia's future. He has attributed this surge to the country's attractive investment climate, characterized by abundant land, accessible energy, and ongoing efforts to combat corruption.

"Ethiopia is open for business," PM Abiy declared, emphasizing the government's commitment to creating a favorable environment for investors. He also pointed to the transparency of the financial system, with the foreign exchange rate gap between banks and the black market shrinking to less than 5%.

"We are not just attracting investment, we are building a strong, sustainable industrial base," PM Abiy emphasized. He outlined plans to address challenges in the manufacturing sector, aiming for increased productivity and the launch of 72 large-scale projects in various industries, including textiles, food and beverage, construction, and chemicals.
