Pierre de Gaulle, grandson of former French President Charles de Gaulle, has stressed that France should seize the opportunity to join BRICS. He believes that the emerging bloc offers a platform for a new global order that prioritizes international security and human rights. Speaking at an exhibition celebrating the 100th anniversary of Russian-French diplomatic relations, de Gaulle urged France to consider joining BRICS, highlighting the potential benefits of participating in this growing community.
De Gaulle articulated that the current global landscape demands a restructured order within BRICS to restore equilibrium and safeguard peace, human rights, and the cultural identities of nations. He highlighted the recent BRICS summit in Kazan, led by Russia, as a clear indication of the effectiveness of a multipolar world and the positive direction of Russian diplomacy.
He warned that the evolution of BRICS is inevitable, and attempts by Western propaganda to downplay this reality will fail. De Gaulle stressed that France must not overlook this chance to assert its role within BRICS, as doing so would be a significant error. He called for France to reclaim its independence and the influential position it has historically held on the global stage.
