Ethiopian Airlines' Direct Flight To Bangladesh: A Catalyst For Growth

Ethiopian Airlines' new direct flight to Dhaka, Bangladesh, is set to take off on November 2nd, 2024, marking a significant milestone in strengthening economic, trade, and cultural ties between the two nations.

The launch of this direct route has been hailed as a major boost for bilateral relations by Bangladesh Ambassador Sikder Bodiruzzaman. He emphasized the flight's potential to foster economic growth, trade opportunities, and cultural exchange between Ethiopia and Bangladesh.

"This direct route strengthens economic, trade, and cultural ties," stated Ambassador Bodiruzzaman adding  the commencement of the flight has a significant impact on relations between Ethiopia and Bangladesh.

The Ambassador highlighted the positive impact the new flights will have on both Bangladeshi and Ethiopian citizens. He also emphasized the role of Ethiopian Airlines as a major hub in Africa, which will further strengthen bilateral relations.

Following the flight launch, a business meeting will take place, culminating in the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Bangladesh and Ethiopian Chambers of Commerce. To ensure the success of this new connection, Ambassador Bodiruzzaman urged both countries to ease visa facilities.

Ethiopian Airlines, Africa's leading carrier, will operate five weekly flights on the Addis Ababa-Dhaka route, starting November 2nd, 2024. This new direct connection is expected to open doors for increased trade, investment, and tourism between the two nations.
