PM Abiy Pinpoints Further Widened Political Landscape

BY AHMED MOHAMMED

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed reiterated that the government is committed to further widening the political landscape of the country. Earlier this morning, members of the House raised a range of questions to the premier, including the political will and commitment of the government to the implementation of the Pretoria Peace Agreement.

He noted that his government has had to brave backlogs of political problems that have transcended generations but outsmarted nearly all of them due to his newly introduced reforms.

He recalled that his government called on all those with diverse perspectives, but some ended up daring to claim political posts forcefully and illegally. ‘War benefits no one; it consumes nations and their respective peoples. ‘Also, he further warned that no coup is possible in Ethiopia today, and ‘we should act mindfully to take Ethiopia to prosperity.’

‘We are fully committed to welcoming any dialogue with any political entity as long as their motive is civil and helpful to benefit us all.’ ‘The Pretoria peace agreement between the federal government and the Tigray People's Liberation Front (TPLF) is on track, yet there are some entities outside of TPLF circle who are behaving unfriendly and provocatively.
