Ethiopian Prime minister Abiy Ahmed said, “Ethiopia's resilience amidst challenges is evident through structural economic reforms, prioritizing macro stability and productivity.”
Prime Minister Abiy is currently in Nairobi, Kenya with his delegation to attend the International Development Association (IDA) 21 Replenishment Summit, according to the Office of the Prime Minister.
The Summit seeks to emphasize to IDA donors and other partners the crucial priority areas for development financing in Africa, urging donors to strongly consider increasing funding for the IDA21 cycle.
This assistance is said essential to address Africa's development challenges and opportunities, as well as those faced by IDA countries in other regions.
On a social media post Monday, the Premier emphasized that dialogue and reconciliation which are spearheaded by the National Dialogue Commission are central to the country’s peace aspirations.
“With a focus on accessible education and youth empowerment, Ethiopia aims to create over 2 million new jobs, while prioritizing universal energy access, digital transformation, and environmental stewardship through initiatives like the Green Legacy Initiative. Ethiopia urges IDA to bolster its commitment to Africa's development journey,” Abiy further mentioned.
