Ethiopia: Gov’t Continues Support to Success of National Dialogue

Chief Government Whip at the Ethiopian House of Peoples Representatives, Tesfaye Beljige, said that the government will continue its unreserved support for the success of the national dialogue process.

Tesfaye Beljige pointed out that there have been good and bad deeds of different regimes in Ethiopia.

He stressed the importance of peaceful dialogue and reconciliation in order to end the grievances caused from wrong doings of administrations of regimes and allow a continuous state building.

He said that the current generation should write its own history to make a better tomorrow and leave its print for Ethiopia, where there will be a national consensus.

He also called all Ethiopians to contribute their share for the success of the national dialogue process. Tesfaye further warned entities who are working to obstruct the process, and denounced their attempts will not succeed.

At the government level, he mentioned that a national consultation commission has been set up to create a platform where all those who have a different position can take a common position.
