Lieutenant General Yilma Merdasa, Commander-in-Chief of the Ethiopian Air Force, stated that a strong air force has been built, one that fully understands its mission and is free from any bias.
Lieutenant General Yilma Merdasa held discussions with Air Force leaders from various units regarding the institution's mission accomplishment and future work directions.
He noted that Air Force personnel are currently effectively carrying out their duties free from any political or religious bias. This, he explained, is a manifestation of patriotism stemming from a clear understanding of their purpose.
Lieutenant General Yilma stated that the progress made so far in institutional development, utilizing knowledge, effort, and limited resources, has been highly effective. He added that this encouraging success will be further developed, with ongoing work in flight operations, maintenance, infrastructure, and improving the lives of air force personnel continuing with improved coordination.
The General pointed out that effective duty performance is taking place in all parts of the institution. He emphasized that the internal unity based on cooperation, from leadership to the lowest ranks, has significantly contributed to the effective duty performance achieved.
