High-ranking officials from the Amhara Regional State, including Governor Arega Kebede and Ethiopia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Gideon Timotewos (PhD), recently lauded Bahir Dar City for its beauty, peace, and ongoing development.

Their remarks came during a visit aimed at inspecting various development projects in the city, which is situated on the shores of Lake Tana.

The delegation toured several key sites, including newly developed tourist destinations along the Lake Tana corridor, which have been enhanced to attract both domestic and international visitors.

The officials also assessed the construction progress of the Bahir Dar International Stadium, a major venue expected to host significant sporting events and gatherings.

Additionally, they reviewed renovations at the Amhara Regional Supreme Court building, highlighting efforts to improve public infrastructure.

During their visit, the officials emphasized that Bahir Dar is not just picturesque but also a hub of tranquility and growth.
