Under the theme “Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow; For the Excellence of Ethiopia,” the forum highlighted the unique successes of this change compared to previous attempts.

Speaker of the House of Federation, Agegnehu Teshager, emphasized that, unlike earlier efforts, the March 24 change stands out as a pivotal moment in Ethiopian history.

He praised Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) for his instrumental role in crafting a comprehensive roadmap that ensured the changes were public, constitutional, and organizational.

Speaker Agegnehu noted that these efforts have not only fostered political stability but have also been crucial in preventing the potential disintegration of the nation.

The Speaker elaborated on the multitude of benefits that have emerged from this change, which he believes has significantly enhanced Ethiopia's standing in various domains, including economic, political, diplomatic, and social arenas. According to information from the House of Federation, these advancements have collectively bolstered Ethiopia’s reputation on the global stage.

Adding to the discussion, Deputy House Speaker, Lomi Bedo, highlighted the special significance of March 24.

She stated that this change has played a vital role in strengthening national unity and ensuring equitable participation for all Ethiopians across different sectors.

Lomi pointed out that the reforms in democratic systems and institutional frameworks have led to greater international acceptance of Ethiopia.

The forum concluded with a call to action from both leaders, urging citizens to continue their support for the ongoing changes.

They stressed that sustained commitment from the Ethiopian people is essential for fully realizing the goals set forth by this landmark transformation.
