SkyWin Aeronautics, ASTU Sign MoU  to Collaborate on Drone Technology

SkyWin Aeronautics Industry and Adama Science and Technology University (ASTU) have signed a MoU to jointly conduct research and development activities in the fields of capacity building and training, technology transfer, drone technology, and information communication and security technology.

Ethiopia's National Intelligence and Security Service Deputy Director General, Sisay Tola, who attended the signing event, said the agreement will further enhance internal capacity in the technology sector in the process of protecting national security and sovereignty. 

Sisay added that the agreement reached with the university is of great importance in jointly building the capacity to provide SkyWin's improved drone products to the African and global markets.

ASTU President Lemi Guta, on his part, said that ASTU will work to quickly build capabilities that will enable it to become competitive in the sector by conducting better research in drone technology and making products accessible on a global scale.

SkyWin Aeronautics Industry, which was inaugurated two weeks ago, is a pioneer in manufacturing drones for civil, military, and security services in Ethiopia.
