Lemi National Cement Factory announced that it supplied the Ethiopian construction sector with over 7 million quintals of cement since it began operations.
The factory held a consultation session with stakeholders in the sector to expand its market reach and enhance the culture of close cooperation in the construction sector.
Lemi Cement Factory is playing a leading role in significantly reducing the shortage of cement production and distribution problems nationwide and stabilizing prices.
It is currently producing 100,000 quintals of cement per day - an amount more than 33 percent of the cement supply in Ethiopia.
The recently commissioned factory was said to have created temporary and permanent job opportunities for more than 1,000 citizens.
The factory announced that it would continue to work in coordination with stakeholders to expand the availability of cement throughout the country.
