The FDRE Ministry of Culture and Sports has signed a groundbreaking contract worth 18.6 billion birr with the China Communications Construction Company to complete the long-awaited Adey Abeba Stadium.
This agreement marks a significant step forward in a project that has been ongoing since 2008 EC, with delays hampering its progress.
The stadium is expected to become a key venue for national and international sporting events, promoting Ethiopia’s cultural and athletic aspirations.
Officials emphasize that this investment will not only enhance sports infrastructure but also create jobs and boost the local economy, according to EBC Sport.
