Ethiopia Rejects Somalia's Allegations of Troop Misconduct in Doolow

Ethiopia is disheartened by the declaration issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia on December 23, 2024, which falsely accuses the Ethiopian forces regarding the incident in the town of Doolow, Somalia. That's according to a statement released by the ministry of foreign affairs of Ethiopia.

This accusation is unfounded. The occurrence was orchestrated by certain factions aiming to obstruct the normalization of relations between Ethiopia and Somalia.

These external actors are focused on destabilizing the Horn of Africa and consistently disrupt peace in the region. Their efforts should not be allowed to impede the commitment of the two nations to peace as outlined in the Ankara Declaration.

The Ethiopian Government will persist in collaborating with the relevant authorities of the Federal Government of Somalia to prevent similar occurrences.Ethiopia highly regards and maintains its dedication to rejuvenating and strengthening the brotherly ties between the two countries in line with the Ankara Declaration.

The determination and valor exhibited by the leaders of both nations will continue to reinforce the bilateral alliance and promote broader regional cooperation.
