Ethiopia will host the 2027 Global Green Development Cooperation Summit, following discussions between State Minister Seyoum Mekonen and International Green Development Cooperation Director Robin McGuckin at COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan.
The discussion focused on the positive contribution of the private sector in efforts to combat the challenges of climate change. The State Minister confirmed that Ethiopia is ready to play its part in the international effort to build a sustainable green economy.
He pointed out that the selection of the country to organize the conference has given recognition to the significant role Ethiopia is playing in the development of international cooperation in the field of sustainable green development.
