Russia-Ethiopia Business Forum Kicks Off in Addis Ababa.

The Russia-Ethiopia Economic Forum, has officially kicked off in Addis Ababa at the Millennium Hall under the theme 'Russia-Ethiopia: Time Does Not Wait.'

It is organized by the AFROCOM Coordinating Committee for Economic Cooperation with African Countries, in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of the Russian Federation and with support from the Roscongress Foundation. The international business forum runs from November 12 to 14, 2024.

The forum aims to offer Russian and Ethiopian entrepreneurs a dependable platform to foster mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation and promote Russian products and technologies in the African market.

Russian companies from diverse sectors, including industry, agriculture, transportation, communications, banking, digital solutions, IT and cyber security, education, and culture, are participating.

Ethiopian organizations and major industrial parks, such as Ethiopian Investment Holding, Ethio Telecom, Ethiopian Construction Works Corporation, National Bank of Ethiopia, Kilinto Industrial Park, and Bole Lemi Industrial Park, are also taking part.

The opening session featured remarks from V.I. Padalko, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, and Mesganau Arga, State Minister of the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Igor Morozov, Chairman of AFROCOM, emphasized the forum's significance in establishing a foundation for promoting Russian high-tech products and for localizing enterprises whose outputs are in demand in the Ethiopian market.

A favorable investment climate will enable Russian entrepreneurs to recognize export opportunities and form valuable connection.
