Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has conveyed his heartfelt condolences following the death of Professor Beyene Petros, a respected figure in Ethiopian politics.
In a statement, the Prime Minister highlighted Professor Beyene's dedication to peaceful political struggle and his significant contribution to promoting a culture of non-violence and constructive political dialogue in Ethiopia.
"I am deeply saddened by the news of his passing after a prolonged illness. May his legacy live on, and may his soul rest in eternal peace," Abiy Ahmed wrote on his Facebook page.
