Prime minister Abiy Ahmed has expressed sadness following the deadly attack at Liido beach in the Somali capital Mogadishu.
In his social media post the Premier said that
“We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of lives and the injuries sustained in the horrific terrorist attack on Mogadishu’s popular beach. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, and the people of Somalia during this difficult time.”
Reports show that at least 32 people were killed and several others injured after a suicide bomber and gunmen targeted a popular beachfront location in the Somali capital, a police spokesman said on Saturday.
