Ethiopia and Norway Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Ties

Ethiopian State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Misganu Arga, and Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs Bjorg Sanjar held talks to strengthen bilateral relations and explore new areas of cooperation. The meeting focused on enhancing partnerships in education, climate change, and peace and security.

During the discussions, Ambassador Misganu emphasized the need to expand cooperation between the two nations and called on Norwegian investors to consider opportunities in Ethiopia. Minister Sanjar expressed Norway's appreciation for Ethiopia's role in promoting regional stability.

The officials explored ways to increase collaboration in climate change prevention, environmental protection, water resources management, and healthcare. They also exchanged views on bilateral, regional, and global issues of mutual interest.

Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to building upon the strong existing partnership between Ethiopia and Norway. The meeting underscored the importance of diplomatic engagement in fostering international cooperation and addressing shared challenges.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs provided information on the high-level talks, highlighting the potential for deepened relations between the two countries across various sectors.
