Ethiopian Ministry of Labor and Skills said 4.1 million decent jobs were created locally and overseas over the 2023/24 fiscal year.
The ministry reported the figure during joint performance report session of the ministry and regional leaders of the sector.
Minister of Labor and Skills, Mufariat Kamil, presenting the report said that the sector was successful in skill development and job creation during the report period.
During the report period, jobs more than 3.7 million citizens were provided jobs locally and more than 345 thousand citizens overseas.
She also indicated that overseas employments were done in in a manner that enables citizens to work with their safety, benefits and rights are protected.
