VP Harris Gets Enough Democratic Delegates Support to Become Presidential Nominee

US Vice President, Kamala Harris, has won enough support from Democratic Party to seal presidential nomination.

Soon after President Joe Biden announced his exit from the 2024 presidential race, VP Harris cliched the support from her party to face Republican nominee Donald Jr. Trump.

Having secured the candidature, Harris wrote on X: “Tonight, I am proud to have earned the support needed to become our party’s nominee. Over the next few months, I'll be traveling across the country talking to Americans about everything on the line. I fully intend to unite our party and our nation, and defeat Donald Trump.”

Monday evening, Harris said to staff at her campaign's headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware, "We have 106 days until Election Day and in that time, we have some hard work to do."

Only in the first 24 hours after Biden’s endorsement, Kamala Haris’ campaign said it secured USD 81 million as presidential fundraising through contributions from more than 888,000 donors.
