During a recent briefing to journalists, Ambassador Nebiat highlighted the city's growing prominence as a diplomatic and conference hub.

In recent weeks, Ethiopia's capital has successfully hosted a series of high-profile summits and meetings, further cementing its status. Ambassador Nebiat specifically cited the successful organization of events such as ETEX 2025, the ILO Africa Regional Meeting, the ID4Africa Conference, two IGAD meetings, the African Insurance Organisation Conference, and the Ethiopia Finance Forum.

Ambassador Nebiat emphasized that the successful hosting of these diverse global, regional, and national conferences underscores Addis Ababa's rising stature. The city is not only reinforcing its long-held position as Africa's diplomatic capital but also emerging as a highly preferred venue for a wide array of international gatherings.
