Ethiopia's National Dialogue Kicks Off Agenda-Setting Consultations in Addis Ababa

Ethiopia's national dialogue process has entered a critical phase today with the launch of a three-day agenda-setting consultative forum in Addis Ababa. The crucial gathering brings together over 850 representatives from 38 diverse federal institutions and associations, including civil society organizations, political parties, educators, religious institutions, and influencers.

This consultative stage aims to consolidate key priorities for the ongoing national dialogue. According to organizers, the preparatory work has already seen the collection of 13 agenda documents from 1,120 kebeles across 11 regions and two city administrations, signifying a broad-based initial input. The current forum marks a significant step in identifying and prioritizing the nation's pressing issues for a comprehensive national conversation.
