Scholars have stated that the application of artificial intelligence in Ethiopia is significantly beneficial in accelerating the growth of the foundational sectors of the domestic economy.
Economist Dr. Kostiantinos Berhe Tesfa noted that artificial intelligence enables Ethiopia to enhance its market competitiveness internationally. He added that it will also greatly contribute to Ethiopia quickly joining the global landscape.
For his part, Seid Essa, an AI researcher at the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute, explained that developing digital AI-based solutions will assist in launching technology-assisted operations and startup businesses.
Therefore, the scholars advised that the ongoing "5 Million Coders" training in Ethiopia should be strengthened, citing that various countries have achieved success by utilizing similar training initiatives, FBC reported.
