The Ethiopian Technology Expo (ETEX 2025) has officially opened its doors at the state-of-the-art International Convention Center in Addis Ababa. The opening ceremony of the prestigious expo witnessed the presence of high-ranking government officials, including the President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Taye Atske Selassie. Speaking on the occasion President Taye Atske-Selassie stressed that technology plays a crucial role in Ethiopia’s inclusive growth adding that the Expo goes beyond just an expo rather showcasing what Ethiopia wants to do in the future what the country can achieve in the tech- ecosystem so far.
The President also noted that information technology is crucial for securing essential information and digital data, adding that Ethiopia is taking concrete steps towards this end.
President Taye further highlighted that remarkable achievements have been registered in realizing digital Ethiopia.
